Divine Nature

In my church I serve the teenage girls in my ward by helping them pass off a program we have called the Personal Progress Program. (if you'd like to learn more about it go here.) In October the value I'm focusing on is Divine Nature. So of course I did what I always do when preparing for...anything...and I hopped on pinterest to try and get some ideas. I found a few cute things and I wanted to share what I came up with!

The first idea I came across was this quote by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf. I LOVED this quote, I feel like it describes exactly what I want the girls to understand about their own divine destiny in God's plan. I saw all sorts of cute subway arts done with this quote, but they all cost money and...I'm cheap! So I made one of my own. I printed it off, stuck it in (a dollar store) frame, decorated it up a bit, and voila! A super cute framed art they can put up in their bedroom if they so desire!

The second thing I came across I can take absolutely NO credit for whatsoever. It's adorable and creative and NOT MY IDEA! Props to Shannon Christensen at Shannon's Studio for being so awesome and making up this adorable kit.

It's called a Hugs & Kisses Kit. One of the experiences that is in the Personal Progress program is to "Make your home life better. For two weeks make a special effort to strengthen your relationship with a family member by showing love through your actions." Shannon came up with a this kit with ideas to do for your family member each day for two weeks! Adorable! She even has provided a free download if you want to make one for yourself. You can find the post on her blog here. Make sure to let her know if you download the file for yourself!

Here's what one of the pages looks like. So fun!
I'm challenging my girls to do this for October! You should give it a try too...let's face it, we all could improve one relationship or another with our family...right?

  1. So glad you got to use the Hugs & Kisses Kit. I hope your girls have fun with it. It's great fun to see the ideas getting used.

Keep an eye out on my website in Nov/Dec because I have a big project starting. If you like this kit you'll like what's up next.
